PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sash structure for an automobile capable of reducing an amount used of a solid-based seal member such as EPT seal. SOLUTION: When an upper end part of a lower sash 3 is inserted into a groove part 11 of a roof sash 2 by forming a shoulder 22a recessing the upper end part of a side wall part 22 of the lower sash 3 integrally with a base wall part 21 to the center of the width direction of the lower sash 3 so as to head toward the groove part 11 of the roof sash 2 along the lower part shape of the roof sash 2, and a sealant 28 is applied from a back surface 21a side of the lower sash 3 to an abutting part by abutting the shoulder 22a to the roof sash 2, the excess sealant 28 moving from a back surface 21a side of the lower sash 3 to an opening side is prevented by the shoulder 22a from dripping to the inside of the lower sash 3.
