PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid separating element capable of suppressing the increase in the resistance of a permeated liquid flow channel caused by the depression of a reverse osmosis membrane into the groove of a flow channel material or the reduction of a filtering function caused by the surface breakage of the reverse osmosis membrane accompanying the same. SOLUTION: In the liquid separating element formed of the reverse osmosis membrane which receives the pressure of a raw liquid and the flow channel material which is arranged to the back side of the reverse osmosis membrane to support the reverse osmosis membrane, the flow channel material is composed of a shaped sheetlike article.
