The ignition switch and steering wheel locking device has an ignition switch module (1), with a first switch function for on switching of the ignition and a second switch function for starting the vehicle engine and a steering wheel locking module (2), which is coupled to the ignition switch module, for blocking starting of the engine unless the steering wheel is unlocked.
