A sealing gasket comprises a generally tubular body 20, Fig. 3, from which bendable flanges 21, 22 extend in their unstressed condition radially and respectively inwardly and outwardly and are adapted to sealingly engage respectively the refrigerating element 11 and the storage tank 13a of a beverage dispenser, Fig. 5, so that the flange 21 lies substantially coplanar with the body 20 and the flange 22 surrounds and lies substantially parallel to it. The gasket may be of soft rubber. The body 20 has a thickened portion 20a and circumferential fins 23. The flange 21 has a bead 24 around its inner rim and the flange 22 is formed with an upwardly-projecting rim 25. For installing the gasket the latter is pushed over the element 11 and flange 21 is bent upwards whilst the body 20 is stretched, causing the flange 22 to bend downwards. The tank 13a is then lowered over the element 11 and pressed around the flange 22 and down on to the rim 25, the resulting compression of the fins 23 forcing the flange 22 tightly against the tank. |
