<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a data transfer amount in a repeater without affecting a transmitting side and a receiving side. <P>SOLUTION: This repeater is provided with: a means for determining whether stream package data (SPD) includes particular frame data to be extracted according to a specified operation mode when the SPD is received; a means for discarding SPD other than SPD including prescribed frame data to be required at a transfer destination when the SPD is determined not to include the particular frame data; and a transferring means for reconstructing a package for the SPD and transferring the SPD whose package is reconstructed when the SPD is determined to include the particular frame data or when the SPD is determined to be SPD including the prescribed frame data to be required at the transfer destination.
