<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress luminance variation regarding a display device in which light emitting elements such as an organic electroluminescence element whose light emitting luminance is controlled by current are provided by every pixel. <P>SOLUTION: The display device has a plurality of scanning lines, a plurality of data lines arranged in a direction crossing the scanning lines and to which writing current corresponding to a gradation signal is supplied, according to a selection of the scanning lines, a plurality of pixels arranged at intersection positions between the plurality of scanning lines and data lines, store the state corresponding to writing current to be supplied and drive the light emitting elements based on the writing current and a data line drive circuit. The data line drive circuit supplies drive voltage corresponding to the gradation signal to the data lines in writing, makes the pixels store the states corresponding to writing current, monitors writing current generated in the data lines and compensates drive voltage based on the monitored writing current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
