<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical measuring electrode capable of being enhanced in sensitivity, and an electrochemical measuring instrument containing the electrochemical measuring electrode and an electrochemical measuring method using the electrochemical measuring instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The electrochemical measuring electrode 1, which is used in electrochemical measurement for electrically detecting a substance in a liquid sample, has insulating substrates 2 and 7 and the acting electrodes 11 and 12 installed on the insulating substrates 2 and 7 and is characterized in that unevenness is formed at least to a part of the peripheral edges of the acting electrodes 11 and 12. Further, this electrochemical measuring electrode 1 includes the insulating substrates 2 and 7, and the first acting electrodes 5 and 18 and second acting electrodes 6 and 15 installed on the insulating substrates 2 and 7 in mutually opposed relationship and is characterized in that the holes, which pierce through the first acting electrodes 5 and 18 to expose the surfaces of the second acting electrodes 6 and 15, are formed to the first acting electrodes 5 and 18 and unevenness is formed at least to a part of the peripheral edges of the holes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
