<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to set a temperature distribution uniform inside an electrode face and aim at simplification of a structure, only by controlling flow of a cooling medium in a cooling medium flow channel. <P>SOLUTION: A power generation cell 10 pinches an electrolyte membrane/electrode assembly 12 with an anode-side metal separator 14 and a cathode-side metal separator 16. The cooling medium flow channel 46 regulates inflow of the cooling medium by providing flow channel wall parts 48a, 50a in a region corresponding to an inlet buffer part 44a of oxidant gas, while on the other hand, allows inflow of the cooling medium at an outlet buffer part 44b of the oxidant gas. Likewise, inflow of the cooling medium is regulated by making the flow channel wall parts 48b, 50b in touch with a region corresponding to an inlet buffer part 36a of fuel gas, while on the other hand, inflow of the cooling medium is allowed at an outlet buffer part 36b of the fuel gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
