摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a macrocyclic organic compound-based reduction catalyst exhibiting high reactivity when 4 electrons of oxygen are reduced.

SOLUTION: An oxygen-reducible catalyst is obtained by depositing a macrocyclic organic compound such as phthalocyanine and porphyrin having an ability to reduce oxygen on an electrically conductive carrier and satisfies the inequality: -0.5≤logA≤1 (wherein A is the ratio of the area to be covered with the macrocyclic organic compound having the ability to reduce oxygen to the surface area of the electrically conductive carrier).
