<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide prepreg having high abrasion resistance and to provide a carrier for polishing scarcely scratching a surface or an outer peripheral surface of a material to be polished and having especially long life during the polishing. <P>SOLUTION: The prepreg is characterized as follows. The prepreg is obtained by impregnating a melt blown nonwoven fabric composed of molten liquid crystalline fully aromatic polyester fibers with a thermosetting resin. The value of fiber diameter distribution CV (%) of the fibers composing the melt blown nonwoven fabric is 20-50% and the average fiber diameter is 3-15 μm. The fibers composing the melt blown nonwoven fabric have knot-like parts and/or bent parts in ≥5 sites/mm<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
