PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce irregular development caused by the warp of a developing sleeve. SOLUTION: The developing apparatus is provided with: a developing roll comprising a magnet roll fixed and supported by a developing container for storing a developer and having a plurality of magnetic poles and a developing sleeve rotatably supported on the outer periphery of the magnet roll and allowed to be rotationally driven while carrying the developer; a blade member to be abutted on the surface of the developing sleeve; a warp suppression member supporting recessed part formed on the magnet roll so as to be opposed to the vicinity of a blade abutting position where the blade member is abutted on the developing sleeve; and a warp suppression member having a warp suppression part projected from the outer periphery of the magnet roll to the outside and near to the inner periphery of the developing sleeve and supported by the warp suppression member supporting recessed part.
