PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food calorimeter having a simple mechanism and highly visible scales, capable of performing simply scale retrieval corresponding to the kind of food to be metered or metering determined by subtracting the tare. SOLUTION: This food calorimeter is equipped with a mounting part 36 where the food is mounted, a pointer 32 displaced corresponding to the weight of the food mounted on the mounting part 36, and a scale plate on which scales 34a, 34b, etc., for reading calorie or a prescribed unit corresponding to the calorie of the food from displacement of the pointer 32 are provided relative to each kind of food. The scale plate, whose axis is disposed approximately in parallel with the displacement direction b of the pointer 32, is formed as a drum-shaped body 34 provided movably in the displacement direction b and rotatably around the axis, and the scales 34a, 34b, etc., are punched in the direction parallel to the axis of the drum-shaped body 34 on the circumferential surface of the drum-shaped body 34, and provided in parallel in the circumferential direction of the drum-shaped body 34 relative to each kind of food.
