PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect quickly and automatically an object existing in the distance such as a vessel or an obstacle, and to display an image of a detected object. SOLUTION: When existence of an object is detected by a radar 1, each elevation angle and each rotation angle of a light transmission part 21 and a light reception part 22 are moved by a control device 3 so that the object is irradiated with laser light emitted from the light transmission part 21. Hereby, the laser light emitted from the light transmission part 21 is reflected by the object, and the reflected light is imaged by the light reception part 22. The image acquired by the light reception part 22 is processed by an image processing device of a laser radar control part 24, and a processed image signal is supplied to a display device 4 through the control device 3. Hereby, the image acquired by the light reception part 22 is displayed on the display device 4, to thereby enable confirmation of the object shape or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
