PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a V-shaped cylinder block, capable of restricting bore deformation by means of a new rib structure. SOLUTION: Under a cylinder row 11, a lower deck part 6 is composed as a plate-shaped structure. A lateral rib 2 is protruded outward from an outside end part 6a of the lower deck part 6. The lateral rib 2 is serially formed in the crank axis direction. The lateral rib 2 is connected through ribs 15a and 15b to a cylinder side wall 13 disposed on the outer side among side walls including the cylinder row 11. The lateral rib 2 is composed to be connected through ribs 16a and 16b to a lower rail 8 provided under a skirt wall 7 composing a side wall of a crank chamber 15.
