PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic flexible electroluminescent element superior in vapor and gas barrier performance. SOLUTION: A flexible board 10a for an organic electroluminescent element is used as a base board for forming an organic electroluminescent element composed of a positive electrode, an organic light emitting layer, and a negative electrode, and a flexible board 10d for the organic electroluminescent element is used as a sealing plate. A positive electrode layer 21 made of a transparent conductive film, a plurality of organic light-emitting medium layers 31 including the light emitting layer, and a negative electrode layer 41 made of metal are formed in order on a protection layer 14 of the flexible board 10a for organic electroluminescent element, and through a sealing adhesive 51, using the barrier layer 13 of the flexible board 10d for the organic electroluminescent element as an adhesion face, and by adhesion sealing by a sealing adhesive 51, the organic electroluminescent element is obtained.
