PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the gas barrier property of a polyester molded article while suppressing its discoloration. SOLUTION: A layered silicate compound [(B)] is obtained by ion-exchanging the metallic ion of a layered silicate [component (B-1)] comprising a silicate layer as a host and the metallic ion as a guest with a linear monoalkyl-trimethylammonium ion [component (B-2)], and is characterized in that it has a layer spacing which is expanded by≥8Å, as compared to that of the component (B-1) and is≤30 wt% in an organic material content. A resin composition is obtained by dispersing the layered silicate compound (B) into a polyethylene terephthalate-based resin [component (A)]. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
