PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter, capturing and deactivating germs and virus in the air with low air flow resistance and at high capturing efficiency, and preventing deterioration of antibacterial performance due to ozone. SOLUTION: Iodine as an antibacterial agent is contained in high polymer material such as strong base anion resin by ion exchange adsorption, and the high polymer material containing iodine is processed into yarn-like state to make filter raw material. The filter raw material is used to make non-woven fabric, and the non-woven fabric is used to form an antibacterial filter 3.
