PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which fits well on a wearer's back because of fastening tapes attached to the ventral parts and which remains fitting well and stably while worn. SOLUTION: It is a disposable diaper 1 having fastening tapes 6; the fastening tapes 6 are tilted toward a straight line WL running transversally across the width of a main body 5, which recede from a crotch area C as they protrude from a base section 6b to a tip section 6a; it also has fastening sections 61 which can be freely attached to or detached from the outer surface of the ventral parts A; and each of elastic, stretch materials 10 and 10, in relation to the direction it stretches, is tilted toward the straight line WL running transversally across the width of the main body 5 and arranged in alignment with the fastening tapes 6 on each of both the sides of the main body 5.
