PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vector for foreign gene transfer, which is inexpensively and readily prepared, promotes intranuclear transport and improves transfection efficiency and to provide a method for using the same. SOLUTION: The vector for foreign gene transfer uses a complex of an inexpensively and easily preparable saccharide-modified cationic polymer and a plasmid DNA and promotes intranuclear transport so as to increase transfection efficiency.
