<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a plurality of kinds of voltage detection information that depend on the capacitance detected according to the input position of an operating element and to determine if the operating body is depressed in Z-direction in response to pressure thereon and whether the operating body follows in X- or Y-direction. <P>SOLUTION: An input device includes a resistance-adjusting film 2 for detecting the input position of the operating element in an input operation area for which the X- and Y-directions are specified; a transparent ITO film 3 provided on the overall surface of the resistance-adjusting film 2 to allow light to pass through; and an Si rubber film 4 provided on the overall surface of a transparent conductive film to allow light to pass through, the thickness of the Si rubber film 4 varying in the Z-direction according to the pressure on the operating element, the Z-direction being a vertical direction relative to the input operation area. This configuration makes it possible to vary the voltage detection information at the input position of the operator's finger according to the pressure in the Z-direction, the voltage detection information depending on the capacitance made up of the ITO film 3, the Si rubber film 4, and the operator's finger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
