<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate coordinates at the indication positions of a plurality of indicators concerning a coordinate input device. <P>SOLUTION: The coordinate input device comprises: a specifying means for specifying a signal change range which is generated by the indication operation of the indicator relative to a coordinate input area in a first detection means between the plurality of detection means with respect to an initial detection signal distribution when no indication exists on the coordinate input area; an end part information detection means for detecting end part information of the signal change range which is specified by the specifying means; a determining means for determining a detection range for specifying the signal change range in a second detection means which is different from the first detection means among the plurality of detection means, through the use of at least one of a plurality of pieces of end part information detected by the end part information detection means; and a calculation means for specifying the signal change range of the second detection means by the specifying means concerning the detection range, detecting the end part information in the range, and calculating the coordinates of the indication positions of the indicators, based on the end part information of the first detection means and the end part information of the second detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
