PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reproduction of colors of color patches as similar as to actual printed colors. SOLUTION: There is provided a color chart which is formed such that a stabilizing region A adjoins to a color sample region G in which the color patches P are arranged, from the outside in a main scanning direction of a printing head 29a. Thus when each nozzle of the printing head 29a reaches the color patch P, a liquid surface of each nozzle outlet is kept in a continuous ejection mode. Further, gaps between the color patches P are filled by a filling region S, and therefore ejection of ink need not be halted at the gaps between the color patches P. Thus even if the gaps are present between the color patches P, ink ejection can be carried out while the liquid surface of each nozzle outlet is kept in the continuous ejection mode.
