PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely holding an ink absorbing material which is arranged on a platen by an easy workability. SOLUTION: A platen unit 39 is constituted by comprising the platen 28 which is provided in a manner to face an inkjet recording head, the ink absorbing material 39 which is arranged in a recess section 29a, an ink guide 42 and a wire 41. On the platen 28, a pair of holes 28f and 28g which penetrate from a first surface 28A side to the a second surface 28B side on the opposite side are formed. The wire 41 straddles the recess section 28a, and at the same time, is formed into an approximately U shape so that the wire 41 can be passed through the holes 28f and 28g. In addition, the wire 41 has fastening sections 41c and 41 which can be fastened to the second surface 28B on both end sections. The wire 41 passes through the holes 28f and 28g from the first surface 28A side, and at the same time, the fastening sections 41c and 41c are fastened to the second surface 28B, and thus, the ink absorbing material 36 is held in the recess section 28a.
