PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravity type automatic door capable of being opened and closed by one touch operation without using any power. SOLUTION: The automatic door includes a sliding door 10, a fixed frame 12, a guide rail 14, both right and left main sheave devices 16 and 18, both right and left auxiliary sheave devices 20 and 22, a guide member 24 and a stopper 26. When the stopper 26 is released, the main sheave device 16 is moved from one end side of the guide rail 14 toward the central side by gravity, and when auxiliary sheaves 20a and 22a are respectively mounted on a left inclined plane of a central guide member 24c and an inclined plane of a right end guide member 24b with the movement, the guide rail 14 is rotated to invert an inclined state, and when the main sheave device 18 reaches the other end side of the guide rail 14, the main sheave device 18 returns to the initial position in parallel with the slope of the inverted guide rail 14.
