PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored powder excellent in weatherability, heat resistance, clarity, chemicals resistance, and solvent resistance, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This colored powder contains an oxide or a hydroxide of at least one element selected from the group consisting of silicon, titanium, zirconium, and aluminum, as a main component, and an organic coloring compound such as phthalocyanine blue, phthalocyanine green, rhodamine B, an azo dye, etc. is fixed in the powder having an average particle diameter of not smaller than 10 nm but not greater than 20μm.
