PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To agitate surely a treatment material and garbage, without increasing torque of a driving means. SOLUTION: This garbage disposer comprises a disposer body 10 having a disposer tank 20 containing the treatment material, and an agitating member 28 agitating the garbage and treatment material contained in the disposer tank 20 and the driving means (drive motor 29). The agitating member 28 is provided with a vertically extending rotary shaft 30, agitating blades outwardly projecting radially from the shaft 30 and acting to push up the treatment material, and vertical walls 38A-38C, 43A-43C perpendicularly projecting from the agitating blades. Actually, the agitating blades are composed of multiple blade parts 35, 40A, 40B disposed with given spaces in the vertical direction of the shaft 30, and with given spaces radially in the circumferential direction.
