PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic luminescent transistor with a novel structure and function for the sake of applying, to a display, an organic semiconductor material still at an initial step with a light-emitting phenomenon confirmed. SOLUTION: The organic transistor has a structure in which an organic semiconductor layer 2 is provided between a pair of electrodes consisting of a first electrode 3 and a second electrode 4, and a third electrode 6 is provided at the organic semiconductor layer through an insulating layer 5, wherein a voltage within the range where the organic semiconductor layer emits light is impressed between the pair of electrodes, and the light emission is controlled by impressing voltage on the third electrode. The display device is provided with a light-emitting substrate made by arraying a plurality of the organic transistors on a substrate, and an optical filter at a position opposite to a light-emitting face of the light-emitting substrate. The pair of electrodes are structured so that a region where the organic semiconductor layer emits light is of a slender shape, and accordingly, a shape of the optical filter is also of slender shape.
