PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a display device for forming a microcell containing a fluid for display with high definition without providing a microcapsule, and electronic equipment having the same. SOLUTION: A substrate (101) having an electrode (102) is coated with liquid (110) for partition wall formation to form a liquid layer (40), and the fluid (44) for display which substantially separates from the liquid (110) for partition wall formation is injected into the liquid layer (40) at a plurality of positions to form a plurality of mutually separated fluid cells for display (103).
