PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for preventing the adhesion of shellfishes and/or algae in the sea, from which a metal ion is prevented from being eluted excessively in the sea to continue the elution of the metal ion. SOLUTION: The tool for preventing the adhesion of shellfishes and/or algae is constituted so that the surface of a copper-plated layer 2, which is oxidized in the sea and from which a copper ion having sterilizing properties is eluted, is covered with a synthetic resin-made perforated film 1 and a tacky adhesive layer 3 is formed on the rear surface of the copper-plated layer 2. Copper is plated on the rear surface of the synthetic resin-made perforated film 1 by a vapor deposition method to cover the surface of the deposited copper with the synthetic resin-made perforated film 1.
