PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of particularizing the manufacturer and the model name of an apparatus for generating image data on the basis of managed image data in an image management system for reading a scan object to generate the image data and managing the image data. SOLUTION: A scanner includes: an image data generating section for reading a prescribed scan object to generate the image data; and a particular information providing section for providing particular information for particularizing the scanner to the generated image data.
