<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration device capable of coping with long-term fluctuation of a conversion parameter and simplifying calibration. <P>SOLUTION: The calibration device is provided with an obstacle detecting section 121 for detecting an obstacle existing in an optional plane on a three-dimensional space in an image photographed by one of a plurality of cameras 101a, 101b for photographing images, from the images photographed by the plurality of cameras, using a conversion parameter for converting points on the above optional plane into points on the optional plane in the image observed from the other camera; and a translation component correction section 123 and a deformation component correction section 124 for correcting the conversion parameter from a distance to the obstacle detected by a distance detecting section 102 for detecting a distance to the obstacle, and position coordinates on the image of the obstacle detected by the obstacle detecting section 121. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
