<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide drum core winding method and apparatus capable of automatically feeding a drum core having high productivity, suited to miniaturization and obtained at low costs. <P>SOLUTION: A groove 8 is formed on a guide 7, an alignment storage 9 is adjacently arranged on the upper part of the groove 8, a drum core 1 aligned and stored in the alignment storage 9 is guided to an hole opening 14 through the groove 8 by free fall, and the guide 7 having the hole opening 14 introduces the drum core 1 from the hole opening 14 to a winding tool 4 through a shaft 5. The drum core 1 is stored in a drum core groove (not shown) formed on the winding tool 4 as a holding means of the drum core 1 and positioned, and the shaft 5 is pressed to the drum core 1 by using the spring resiliency of a coil spring 6. The drum core 1 held between the winding tool 4 and the shaft 5 is wound up by rotation.
