PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibrating body wherein an amount of the adjustment of a characteristic frequency does not vary so much, the characteristic frequency can be adjusted surely, substantially without degrading vibration characteristics, and individual differences in the characteristic frequency can thereby be eliminated by using a simple method.
SOLUTION: In the vibrating body 70, electrodes 72 for adjustment are formed beforehand in part of an electrode 60. The vibrating body is so constructed that its characteristic frequency is adjusted by cutting a continuity portion 73 to separate and insulate a driving electrode 61 and an electrode 72 for adjustment between which continuity is established in the initial state, from each other or establishing continuity between (short-circuiting) a drive electrode 61 and an electrode 72 for adjustment insulated from each other via conductive material such as solder and wire. Accordingly, the characteristic frequency can be adjusted with ease and surely. Thus, individual differences in the resonance frequency (characteristic frequencies) between vibrating bodies 70 can be eliminated, and the reliability of the vibrating body can be enhanced significantly.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
