PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make high reliability sensing of the piston position without hindering a rodless cylinder from being constructed compactly. SOLUTION: In a recess 19 formed at the side face of a slider 4 and on a sensor rail 5 a piston position sensing device 20 is installed consisting of a shield plate 21 made of iron located in the center, a sensor magnet 22 fixed in the sideways facing attitude by a magnet holder 25 of a U-shape in plan view to the center of the outside surface of the shield plate 21 in such an arrangement that the left and right sides become N-pole and S-pole, respectively, and a position sensor 23 accommodated in a position able to confront the sensor magnet 22 in the specified position of a slider 4.
