<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly machine a workpiece in its machining area regardless of the elapsed time from the start of the laser beam machining. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam machine (100) comprises a laser oscillator (2) and a condensing optical system (13) for converging laser beams outputted from the laser oscillator, wherein the condensing optical system is positioned on the center line (C) of the laser in a manner including the intersection (A1) between a laser beam propagation curve (Y1) at the start of laser outputting and the laser beam propagation curve (Y2) after the elapsed time from the start long enough to generate a thermo-lens effect. Further, the laser apparatus may be structured to have a collimating means (60) or a beam diffusion angle changing means (65) arranged between the laser oscillator and the condensing optical system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
