<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a stent capable of reducing the cost while improving the safety of the stent and easily obtaining the stent with desired characteristics while preventing unintentional deformation during the manufacture of the stent; and the stent. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the stent comprises a process of forming bumps 4 mainly made of a first metal on the outer surface of a column-shaped or cylindrical core member 3, a process of forming a metal formed body 7 with a net structure by jointing a plurality of wires 6 mainly made of a second metal different from the first metal at ends or in the middle on the bumps 4, a process of forming a metal layer mainly made of a third metal different from the second metal on the outer surface of the wires 6, and a process of obtaining a structure with the bumps 4 and the metal layer formed on the outer surface of the wires 6 of the metal formed body 7 by removing the core member 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
