PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology, whereby the acquisition and storage of program information can be classified into a simple type and a detailed type and a desired type can be switched adaptively, in response to the selection by a user, by noting that the program information comprises simple program information and detailed program information. SOLUTION: A program information acquiring section receives the program information and stores a part of a program guide, including a title and a broadcast time zone required for at least reception of the program information to a storage section. A display section displays the program guide, the program information acquiring section starts capturing processing of the detailed program information of a desired program, when receiving designation of a received program, and stops capturing the detailed program information, when it receives a stop command from an operation section during the capturing of the detailed program information.
