PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display electrode divided into a plurality of pieces which has no disconnection and is highly reliable, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This is a manufacturing method of a PDP which has a scanning electrode 5 and a sustaining electrode 6 having a main discharge gap 21 arranged and the scanning electrode 5 and the sustaining electrode 6 are formed of a plurality of electrode wires 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d, 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d. The electrode wires 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d, 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d are formed using a photolithography method and the exposure process of the photolithography method is a process, in which at least one of the plurality of electrode wires is exposed a plurality of times using an exposure mask having a different exposure pattern.
