PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling communication between a base station and a mobile device. SOLUTION: Information is transmitted between a base station and a mobile device via a plurality of sub channels, having carrier frequencies different from one another. A first portion of the sub channel is used for a normal mobile device, and a second portion of the sub channel is used for a new mobile device. A communications system can be used for another system assisting data and/or voice communication, such as code division multiple access or an universal mobile telephone system (UMTS).
