PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner separation apparatus capable of obtaining at least effectively charged toner. SOLUTION: In the toner separation apparatus 1 having a toner leading part 5 to which a charged toner is led and a toner discharge port 6 for discharging the charged toner to an electrostatic latent image holder 200; first electrodes 8 and second electrodes 9 are arranged oppositely to each other in parallel through a space between the toner leading port 5 and the toner discharge port 6, an asymmetrical voltage waveform and a DC voltage waveform are applied to the second electrodes 9, an electric field for discharging charged toner other than the prescribed quantity of charged toner from the space between the electrodes 8, 9 so as not to allow the charged toner to arrive at the toner discharge port 6 is generated between the first electrodes 8 and the second electrodes 9, and an air flow for discharging the excluded charged toner to the outside of the apparatus is formed on the outside of the space between the electrodes 8, 9.
