PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner having excellent low-temperature fixability, hot offset resistance and wide fixing temperature range, yielding a fixed image of low gloss and small temperature dependence of a gloss value in a fixing temperature region, and suitable for a printer for monochrome or a copying machine for monochrome. SOLUTION: The toner is≤160°C in the minimum fixing temperature, is≤20°in the gloss value of the fixed image, and≤2.5°in the rate of change in the gloss value of the fixed image per temperature 10°C in a fixing temperature region. The binder resin for toner contains a first linear polyester resin and a second linear polyester resin, in which the second linear polyester resin is lower in softening point than the first linear polyester resin, and at least either of the first linear polyester resin and the second linear polyester resin has≥9C hydrocarbon groups as side chains.
