PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a deodorant for fiber that controls formation of a human unpleasant body odor component such as isovaleric acid, caproic acid, etc., and continuously exhibits its effect. SOLUTION: The deodorant for fiber comprises a plant extract as an active ingredient having a control effect on formation of a lower fatty acid by indigenous bacteria in the skin. The plant being a supply source of the plant extract is preferably at least one kind of a plant selected from persimmon leaves, Hypericum perforatum, Crataegus oxyacantha, linden, Rosmarinus officinalis, Lonicera japonica Thunberg and Equisetum arvense.
