PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic suspension supporting device, enlarging the space between a body and the stop position of a suspended body without an increase in the scale of the device. SOLUTION: An electromagnet 21 constituting a body 3 of the magnetic suspension supporting device includes a permanent magnet 13c in a part of an iron core 13, whereby when the electromagnet 21 is non-driven, a magnetic field for attracting a suspending part 5 is formed from the body side 3 as well. A magnetic sensor 14 is formed of Hall elements 14a, 14b for detecting the magnitude of the magnetic field along the detecting direction, and when the Hall elements 14a, 14b are arranged in the positions so that when the suspending part 5 is moved in a controllable range during non-driving of the electromagnet 21, the more the suspending part 5 approaches the body, the more the direction of magnetic flux radiated from a magnetic piece 13a constituting the iron core 13 of the body 3 and penetrating the Hall elements 14a, 14b changes to approach the detecting direction.
