<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for lithographic printing, for use in a CTP method, which is sensitive to light in a near-infrared area, which can be handled in a bright room, which can direct plotting by using laser light, which can dispense with development and a wiping operation, which enhances the hydrophilicity of a non-image area, and which is excellent in printability. <P>SOLUTION: This original plate for the lithographic printing has a hydrophilic-resin photosensitive layer with the property of changing the hydrophilicity of a surface of an exposure part into compatibility with ink by laser exposure.
