<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation substance removal device that has a satisfactory removal characteristic for an image formation substance on a recorded material formed with an electrophotography method and is free from deterioration of the removal characteristic for an image formation substance even when the process of image formation substance removal is repeated. <P>SOLUTION: The image formation substance removal device for a recorded material on which an image is formed by electrophotography includes: a blade 310 with which an image formation substance sticking to a substrate is removed from the substrate; a cleaning means with which the image formation substance is removed from the substrate by relatively moving the substrate and blade 310 while keeping the blade 310 in contact with the substrate, thereby causing shear force in the image formation substance on the substrate; and a means for polishing the blade 310 with a blade polishing member 268. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
