IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a phenomenon in which toner scattering or irregular density occurs because an appropriate transfer condition is changed according to the electrification amount of toner which forms a toner image on an intermediate transfer body.

SOLUTION: The electrification amount of the toner is detected by detecting a developing current or detecting the density of the toner image on the intermediate transfer body, and applied voltage to the discharge electrode of a pre-transfer electrifying means is controlled according to the detected electrification amount of the toner.
