PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient aperture ratio even in a high-definition liquid crystal panel whose pixel size is small. SOLUTION: An RGB picture element portion is uses as one pixel portion and a display region is composed of three kinds of picture element shapes; and a 1st TFT 25a is connected between a 1st picture element electrode 24a and a signal line 21, a 2nd TFT 25b is connected between a 2nd picture element electrode 24b and the signal line 21, and a 3rd TFT 25c and a 4th TFT 25d are connected in series between a 3rd picture element electrode 24c and the signal line 21. Then 1/3 of picture element portions constituting a display screen are each equipped with two switching elements, and the display region is constituted on a liquid crystal display panel of A pixels×B pixels with wiring lines of A signal lines and B×2 scanning lines.
