PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor of simple structure that can be readily reduced in size and lowered in price. SOLUTION: A motor with brush includes a group of magnetic poles of permanent magnets constructed of those in multiples of 2; and a group of the magnetic poles of windings constructed of those in a multiple of 3. The magnetic poles of the windings are electrically constructed in three phases, and one ends of the individual windings are grouped and connected to a positive power supply electrode. The other ends are connected with one respective electrode of a commutator via a rectifier, and each two adjacent windings of the windings are connected to each other. Only one brush is used, and negative power supply-side wiring is not installed, unless it is especially required. The brush is directly connected to the frame of a rotor or the like and is connected to the negative electrode of a power supply. In a brushless motor, each two of adjacent windings is connected to one of the semiconductor switching elements from a control circuit via a rectifier. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
