PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric circuit current limiter capable of controlling the current value of an electric circuit in a short time through simple construction. SOLUTION: A current limiting circuit 20 connected in series with an electric circuit L limits an output current so that it does not exceed a current limit value corresponding to a control signal input to a control terminal. A control circuit 40 determines a control signal output to the control terminal of the current limiting circuit 20 so that the detection current value M of the electric circuit L, detected through a current detection circuit 30, becomes equal to or lower than a set current value S1, and lowers the current limit value of the current limiting circuit 20.
