PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform miniaturization by decreasing the number of driving sources, and to prevent an erroneous operation. SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 1 comprises an inkjet head 2, a pump 51 forcibly delivering an ink from the head, a pick-up roller 22 forwarding a paper arranged on a placing plate elevated and lowered by an elevating/lowering mechanism and positioned at the uppermost position to a conveyor belt, and a driving force transmitting mechanism 40 for transmitting the driving force to the pump 51 when the driving shaft 10a of a motor 10 is rotated in the positive direction, and transmitting the driving force to the pick-up roller 22 when the driving shaft 10a of the motor 10 is rotated in the reverse direction. In addition, the inkjet printer 1 further comprises an elevating/lowering mechanism controlling part for controlling the elevating/lowering mechanism so that the paper comes to a position where the paper is not brought into contact with the pick-up roller 22, and a purge controlling part for rotating the driving shaft 10a of the motor 10 in the positive direction after controlling the elevating/lowering mechanism controlling part.
